One bedroom (king size tempurpedic bed), one full bathroom, kitchen (refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, granite countertops), washer/dryer, wood ceramic tile floors, a screened porch, your own WIFI, etc., roughly 800 square feet. Built as a detached guesthouse, it was recently renovated for a college student to live in for a year. She's moved out and it's now vacant. The cottage is located in my back yard. I live on a 1.5 acre, wooded lot. Although it is in the backyard, there is plenty of space and privacy. You won't notice us and we won't notice you (unless you want us to). We are primarily set up to comfortably host two guests, but we have a high quality, self inflating, queen size air mattress in the cottage. So we could sleep up to 4 people, although I wouldn’t recommend it for a long stay. Let me know if you have any questions.

The cottage is 2 stories, contains a spiral staircase, a fully equipped modern kitchen, & an open living/dining area. The farmhouse table can accommodate 6-8 for dinner, games, or great conversation (w/ or w/o wine). Private parking for up to 4 full size vehicles. The entire cottage/carriage house is free for guest to use. Unfortunately, we share a pool and deck with other property owners so those are not available at this time. My husband (Chase) and I (Brittini) are always available to answer any questions you might have about the property. Just give us a quick text/message and we will get back with you shortly. Great location! Balcony overlooks Betty Virginia Park. BVP has a 0.5 mile paved track encircling it. Great for runners and people with children. Approximately 1.0 mile for two coffee shops, (Starbucks & Rhino coffee). Lots of little boutique shops around this same area and great places to grab a bite. Go visit our friends at Whisk dessert bar. We are also 3.0 miles from downtown Shreveport if you’re interested in the night life. Our cottage is located at the back of the property so just take the drive way along the left of the house to get to it. Shreveport just recently got Uber & Lift if you don’t want to drive your vehicle around the city. Parking around the city is usually not a problem except during festivals such as the Red River Revel, Mudbug Madness, and St. Paddie’s in the plaza. Our cottage is 0.3 miles for LSU-Health Sciences Center for those guest that are applying to the Med School, fellowships, and Residency Programs.

This property is in a very quiet family oriented sub division. It's the perfect getaway for a quiet evening of reading but not too far from city fun. It is located approximately 10 minutes from Shreveport (Mansfield Rd. area). We ask that you would enjoy yourselves but please be respectful and treat the property as you would your own. The home features a large common area and kitchen, with 3 spacious bedrooms. This home has a second common area upstairs that is perfect for relaxing and being away from the crowd. There are 2.5 bathrooms that are very elegant. Guests will have the entire home to themselves. All bedroom closets, pantry, and garage doors will be locked and not accessible to guests. We ask that guests do not sleep on any furniture outside of bedrooms. There is plenty of floor space if guests would like to bring personal air mattresses. This property has a trampoline in the backyard for children. Also, the treadmill and dumbbell weights are there for guests to use too. Crib available for infants, please notify at booking if needed. Strict policy on smoking, pets, and extra guest over 6. Extra adult guest fee is $10 per day for length of stay. This does not include children. This property is located 20-30 minutes from Shreveport-Bossier's downtown area and casinos. The subdivision is about 5 miles from I-49 access. This neighborhood offers a lot of festivals and events that are within walking distance of this home. This is an upstairs apartment so please be aware of the staircase if you have small children or difficulty using stairs. Parking is on the street in front of the apartment. The gorgeous waterfall-style island between the kitchen and den is built with custom stone and has 3 bar stools. A new dining room table that seats 10 was added in August 2019. The den features a glass-enclosed linear gas fireplace and hidden audio-visual storage area, making for a great entertainment space. The 65" 4K LED TV is the only television in the house, and is equipped with Xfinity cable, Netflix and a DVD player. The master suite features a huge bedroom with king bed and spacious en suite with oversized tub, multi-head shower and L-shaped closet that is to die for. Each of the other three bedrooms has its own job-built tile glass-enclosed showers, custom stone countertops or sleek pedestal sink, and high-end fixtures. Hot water for the entire house is unlimited with a gas-fired tankless water heater. Lighting throughout is high efficiency, low maintenance LED cans or fluorescent. Sleek, modern, ceiling fans are in each living area. The double decks on the back of the house as well as the two-slip covered boat dock and pier are all built with light-colored maintenance-free aluminum decking that is almost always cool enough to walk on with bare feet. Deck and dock both have see-through cable railing for unencumbered views. And the outside shower with hot and cold water is great for cooling off or enjoying a fresh rinse after a day in or on the lake.

Escapade de Vacances Historic Elizabeth Lane ( Elizabeth Lane Guest House) is your home away from home on a historic boulevard street on the East side of the Cane River. We are a short walk to the beautiful Cane River and the historic downtown area with shopping, restaurants, and pubs Our home was totally renovated in 2016 but still retains the warmth and charm of a 1901 era home. 36oo sq. feet. Screened in porch on back. Sit on the front porch swing overlooking our wildflower garden. We have plenty of room ( 3 sitting areas) and a screened porch with ceiling fans and comfortable wicker rockers. 3 bedrooms feature comfortable queen size pillow top mattresses and 1 bedroom has a regular comfortable full size bed suitable for smaller adults or children.There is also a twin daybed in the sun room and the extra long lounge couch is not bad for one person to sleep on. Please note this is a whole house rental with a minimum of 2 nights. The original French Colony in Louisiana, Natchitoches has evolved from an important 18th century trading post into a vibrant cultural and historical center, reflecting a unique blend of French, Spanish,American Indian,Creole, and American traditions. If you like Crayfish or boiled shrimp try the Crayfish Hole just a short drive away. The Cane River Commissary is a new eatery/pub out near the plantations. Northwestern Louisiana University is a five minute drive from The Elizabeth Lane Guest House( is a whole house rental with a two night minimum). Plantations and other historic sites are minutes away by car. Please note this is a self-catering home rental. Grocery markets and Wal-Mart are nearby on Keyser Ave. There is also a wash and fold laundry off of Keyser - drop off your laundry and pick up in a couple of hours. Guests have private use of 3 bathrooms.The back porch is screened in with wicker rockers and a chaise lounge. The front porch has a porch swing. Smoking is allowed outside only. We have off street parking for up to 4-6 vehicles. Flat Screen TV with DVD's, and Netflix - we do not have cable or local channels. High speed internet (WIFI). Sometimes it has to be rebooted. ( both lights should be green). If there is a electrical power surge in the neighborhood the hot water may trip off - the solution -the reset button on the on-demand water heater has to be pushed off and wait a few minutes then turn it back on.. Kitchen with gourmet gas commercial stove and refrigerator. Children are welcome and must be under adult supervision at all times. Bring flashlights to walk to the river bank in the evening. When possible please hang up your towels and use again to lessen our environmental footprint. If you have muddy shoes please take them off before entering the home. When you leave -kindly load the dishwasher and turn it on, pull your sheets off the beds and gather your towels and leave in the laundry bin near the back door. Please dump all garbage containers in the bins outside on the driveway. Please clean up after yourself. The kitchen has basic pots and pans , coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes , etc. You are most welcome to use the kitchen but please clean it up after you finish. Please do not flush anything (feminine hygiene products etc) but toilet tissue in the toilet. Please use the tub mats to prevent slips and falls. We appreciate you observing quiet time between 10 PM and 8 AM as we have elderly neighbors. Please note the cottage house on the back of the property is not included in the rental. The Elizabeth Lane Guest House is not handicap accessible -nor do we claim to be. The entry steps and walkways can be slippery when wet - please watch your step. if you need something just call us to let us know. Prior to check out please pull your sheets and towels and put in the laundry bin by the back door. Rinse out the tubs and sinks, empty all trash containers and put trash in the bins outside. Please clean up the kitchen and load the dishwasher and turn in on. If you spill something on the floors please wipe it up. Please check for personal items such as phone charger cords, i-pads, and other personal items prior to locking the doors. Leave the key on the kitchen counter. Be sure the doors are securely closed before you leave. If you have any damages let me know as your insurance will most likely cover it. If the number of guests in your group should increase beyond your original total, you can write us a check for the extra people when you check in. Smoking is allowed on the back porch and outside only.We are not the appropriate location for a large event as we have limited parking and we are in a quiet residential area.
